# Fingerprint Protection
A device fingerprint is built up from several browser and hardware metrics on a user's device.\
Fingerprint protection uses [Content Scope Scripts](../content-scope-scripts) with the aim to anonymize this fingerprint by setting these metrics to constant or randomized values.
